2 shows are coming featuring Dusty’s music. Son Of a Precher Man opens on September 4th at the Churchill Theatre, Bromley and then tours the country. The story is not about Dusty herself, but features her songs. Craig Revel Horwood directs & choreographs.
The other show, Dusty, based on Vicki Wickham’s book, written by Jonathan Harvey & directed by Maria Friedman is expected to open next year. Vicki tells me that some of the characters are composites, which often happens with biographical stories on stage. They seldom have the budget to feature everyone, so some poetic licence is taken with the characters, and some of the story.
