Four years ago I arranged for the cleaning of Dusty’s memorial stone in Henley. Pat Rhodes, myself (Simon Bell), and the members of Let’s Talk Dusty forum shared the cost.
It had been hoped that this would only need to be done every 10 years or so, but Carole Gibson let me know this week that the stone is in a sorry state again (see picture).
We had thought we might divert some of the money from Dusty Day but we have now had promised donations which will allow the work to go ahead.
