GERRY GOFFIN, the lyricist partner of Carole King on so many pop classics, has died. He was 75.
Carole King announced his passing on Twitter by saying “there are no words”.
Goffin & King (below) married in 1959, and went on to write teenage anthems that rank them among the greatest songwriters of all time.
They wrote:

Dusty regularly recorded their songs. In addition to Will You Love Me Tomorrow, she sang Oh No! Not My Baby, Going Back, Some Of Your Loving, Up On The Roof, I Can’t Hear You, Hi-De-Ho (That Old Sweet Roll), Don’t Forget About Me, I Can’t Make It Alone, No Easy Way Down.
Goffin went on to write Saving All My Love For You for Whitnet Houston, I’ve Got To Use My Imagination & So Sad The Song for Gladys Knight, Theme From Mahogany for Diana Ross, and Tonight I Celebrate My Love For You for Roberta Flack & Peabo Bryson.
